PORTLAND BOY CHARGED WITH MURDER

2 Weekend Murders Push Portland Total To 11

A 15-year-old Portlander has been charged with murder following the stabbing death of a man in the parish capital Friday night.

Dead is Meshach Hill, 26, also called Toto of Spring Bank, Port Antonio

Police confirmed to the North Coast Times, Monday, that the boy from Port Antonio has been charged with murder. His name and details cannot be provided as he is a minor.

The murder Friday is the first of two that took place in the parish at the weekend, bringing homicides there to 11.

In the first incident, on Friday September 1 about 8:15 pm, Hill and the teen men were reportedly engaged in gambling. There was a dispute over money. A knife was brought into play and Hill was stabbed. He was pronounced dead at Port Antonio Hospital.

In the other incident, 28-year-old chef, Ricardo Williams of Spring Hill in Buff Bay, was shot and killed. Police report that Williams was at home shortly after midnight when two men opened a window to his bedroom and fired shots at him. Williams was hit. He ran from the house and collapsed. Police found him bleeding and rushed him to hospital.

He was pronounced dead at the Annotto Bay Hospital.

The police investigations continue.
