MURDER IN PRIORY Cops seeking man charged in Lime Hall murders.

An accused murderer involved in last week’s (August 31) murder of a man in Priory, St. Ann is wanted by the police for questioning.

Dead is 32-year-old Erolda Harvey, otherwise called ‘France’ of Seville Heights, St. Ann. Another man who was shot and wounded in Wednesday’s incident has been hospitalized and is not yet identified by the police. The North Coast Times, however, understands he frequented the area and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Also wanted for questioning by the police is Roshad Moss otherwise called ‘Shot’ of Lime Hall, St Ann. “We believe Moss can assist us in this murder investigation,” said senior superintendent Wayne Cameron “He is a person of interest. Also Moss is wanted for breaching his bail conditions.”

CONNECTION

Police sources say Moss is a key player in two murders in Lime Hall on Tuesday morning, January 5 when a taxi operator, David Hudson and Damion Campbell, alias ‘Iron Man’ were shot

and killed.

Those murders were believed to have been connected to the disappearance of four family members who are now presumed dead. The four disappeared on Saturday, November 15, 2015 after the theft of bags of pimento and other items from a farm house in Lime Hall. The house and another building were set on fire after the robberies.

Police believe that the murders of Hudson and Campbell were part of a campaign by criminal elements to silence or get rid of people who had information that could lead police to the perpetrators of the robbery and arson.

Moss was charged with the murder of Campbell and was also charged with accessory to murder in the death of 16-year-old Maurice Cox Jnr last year.

He was on bail for the murder of Campbell with conditions that he should not be seen in Lime Hall and that he should report to the Crofts Hill police in Clarendon every week. Police said Moss has not reported to police for the last two months. They could not confirm reports he has been seen in Lime Hall.

WHAT HAPPENED

According to the Constabulary Communications Unit (CCU) the shooting death of Harvey and the wounding of another man took place along the Priory main road in St Ann on Wednesday, August 31.

Reports from St Ann police are that about 8:00 p.m., both men were standing along the busy roadway, near the traffic lights,  when two men walked up to Harvey and opened fire on him. Another man was also shot.

The shooters ran to a waiting car that drove away.

Harvey and the other man were taken to hospital where Harvey was pronounced dead and the man admitted in stable condition.

Police denied an earlier report that Harvey died in a drive-by shooting. They confirm reports by business people and area residents that Harvey was standing on the roadside and was approached by men who shot him several times.
