The St. Mary Parish Development Committee, in partnership with the Social Development Commission, the National Youth Service, the Community Safety and Security Art of the JCF, HEART Trust and a number of other agencies on Friday, October 10, hosted the media launch for the inaugural St. Mary Creative Arts and Skills Festival. The launch held at the Port Maria Civic Centre was attended by a host of agencies and community reps and was endorsed by them, including members of the political directorate. The Festival will take place on Saturday, October 25 at Claude Stuart Park, Port Maria. The Festival aims to expose the creative arts and an industry for income generation, show youth in the parish how they can to turn their talents and skills into viable career paths, and strengthen the inter-agency relations within St Mary.
