Three traffic deaths in 3 days in St Ann
Two men — one on a bicycle and the other on a motorbike — were killed in traffic crashes, within two miles of each other, in St Ann, on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
Dead are 28-year-old Andylo Chambers, unemployed of Windsor District, St Ann’s Bay, and 87-yer-oldClaudius Brown of Salem, Runway Bay
The 87-year-old man was killed when he rode his bicycle onto the roadway near Sharkies Restaurant, Salem, and it crashed into a car.
The fatal crashes took place along the Llandovery Stretch of the North Coast Highway. They follow another fatal crash Wednesday, in which a truck driver succumbed Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Richmond Estates.
BIKE CRASH
In the first incident, about 11:35 a.m., Saturday, police report that Chambers was driving a green 2023 Missile CG 250 motorcycle with a pillion, toward St Ann’s Bay

A Grey 2015 Toyota Probox motor car was being driven in the opposite direction, with one passenger aboard. On reaching a section of the roadway, in the vicinity of the Cranbrook Bridge, police say “the driver of the motor car failed to keep his traffic lane, swerved across the roadway onto the opposing hard shoulder where the vehicle collided with the motorcycle.” As a result of the collision, both vehicles were damaged. The driver and pillion rider of the motorcycle received serious injuries and were transported to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital for medical attention. The pillion sustained injuries to his stomach and both feet. The driver of the motorcycle sustained multiple injuries to several areas of his body and later succumbed while being treated.

The driver of the Toyota Probox was also assisted to the same medical facility for treatment, having sustained minor facial injuries to the left eye, resulting from a damaged windshield.
The female passenger who was traveling with him was not injured.
87-YEAR-OLD
The second fatal crash took place about two miles away, west of the earlier crash, at about 5:45.

(Not the actual bicycle)
Reports are that a black Toyota Mark X motorcar was being driven in a westerly direction (toward Discovery Bay) when Mr Brown who was riding a bicycle, on reaching the entrance to Shakies Restaurant, rode from the left side of the roadway into the path of the motorcar. The left front fender and headlamp of the car collided with the front wheel of the bicycle. Mr Brown was propelled onto the left side of the front windscreen, resulting in injuries. He died while being treated at the St Ann’s Bay Hospital.
