St Ann Police Identified Drivers of the 2 Mercedes-Benz Cars in Horrific Crash That Left 4 Teens Dead and 2 Benz Drivers on the Run
ST ANN’S BAY, St Ann; Nov. 2, 2026
Two men suspected to be the Mercedes-Benz drivers who fled the scene of the horrific crash in Ocho Rios Sunday morning have turned themselves in to police.
The St Ann police told North Coast Times early Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, that they identified two suspects in the crash that left four teenagers dead early Sunday morning, November 1, 2026, in Ocho Rios.
At the same time, there are concerns about how the four teens were on the road at that time of morning, 2:30, with one who turned 17 in July in the driver’s seat of the Toyota Vitz.
Police believe the drivers of the two Mercedes-Benz motorcars who fled the scene did so after removing the registration (license) plates of the vehicles.
Senior Superintendent Carlos Ricketts, who heads the St Ann police, said police have identified two suspects. He said investigations are intense. However, he would give no details of the suspects including where they were from. “We are doing some work and we have some leads,” SSP Russell told the North Coast Times.

The three very badly damaged vehicles were wrecked to Runaway Bay police station. Police have the authority and means to check on the ownership of any vehicles through identifying numbers on the vehicle, beside from the issued plates. The investigating officer on Sunday morning already identified the cars by their chassis numbers, and even which one precipitated the crash. The Mercedes Benz were identified as two black AMG C43 and it is believed their drivers were known to each other.
Initial police report indicated that the crash was caused by one of two Mercedes-Benz that were apparently traveling together in an easterly direction on the Bull Point Road, or near the Fisherman Beach and Columbus Heights road entrance/exit. That is near Island Village Complex
.
Here’s how the police said it appears to have happened:

“ On reaching a section of the roadway one of the Mercedes Benz motor cars attempted to overtake the other Mercedes Benz motor car and Toyota Vitz motorcar causing the left section of both vehicles to make contact. As a result of the primary collision the Toyota Vitz motorcar was redirected onto the westbound section of the roadway and collided head on with the second Mecedes Benz motorcar.”
All four, all teens, in the Vitz were killed.
