Police are investigating a murder in Moneague, St Ann, on Tuesday morning, May 5, 2026.
Dead is 40-year-old Germaine Hedge, also called Hetchie, a fruit vendor and DJ Â of Silkfield, Moneague, St Ann.
Reports from the police are that about 1:45 a.m., residents in Silk Field heard loud explosions sounding like gunshots. About four hours later, a neighbour went and checked and discovered the body of Hedge lying face down in his room in a pool of blood. The matter was later reported to the Moneague Police by a close relative of Hedge’s.
