MEN WERE AT HOUSE OF A MAN WHO IS REPORTING ON CONDITION OF BAIL
PORT ANTONIO, Portland; April 22, 2026
Police shot dead two men in Portland on Wednesday morning, April 22.
The men are unidentified.
This incident occurred in Sherwood Forest District, in the San San Police area of the Portland Division, about 5:15 a.m.. That’s just 24 hours after two brothers were fatally shot by police in an operation in Steerfield, St Ann, on Tuesday.
Sources in the area told the North Coast Times that the men who were shot and killed in Sherwood Forest were not from the area and were staying with a resident.
The police report said that at about 5:15 a.m. a team from OST and other divisions conducted a targeted raid at the home of a man who is reporting on condition of bail for kidnapping and robbery.
Further information suggested that other men were staying at the premises who were directly involved in the murder of a man who was shot and killed in January of this year in the San San Police area.
“Police said when they entered a section of the house, one of two armed men fired at [the police] team while the other pointed a weapon [at them]. The police took evasive action and fired in the men’s direction. The two men were taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.”
Police say two firearms were recovered from the men: one silver and black Taurus G3 pistol with one magazine and three rounds of .9mm ammunition; and one silver and black Taurus pistol, Serial Number not discernible, with one round in the breach
The police said no member of the team was injured, but one member is severely traumatized.
