PATRONS AT BAR IN MARKET ATTACKED BY GUNMAN

OCHO RIOS, St Ann; April 24, 2026

Two men were shot and killed at a bar in the Ocho Rios Market on Thursday night, April 23, 2026.

Dead are: 25-year-old Stevie Blake, also called Six, unemployed of Great Pond, Ocho Rios, and Basil Arthurs, also called Campari or Pari, bus driver, of Top Bay, Discovery Bay, both in St. Ann

Reports to the North Coast Times are that up to four other people were wounded in the attack. Two have been admitted to the hospital

 Police reports indicate that shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday, Blake and Arthurs were among patrons at a bar in the Ocho Rios Market when a man armed with a handgun entered the bar and opened fire on them.

Six people were shot and wounded. People near the bar, including vendors, scattered in all directions.

The killer escaped in a waiting motorcar.

The men were taken to St Ann’s Bay Hospital, where Blake was pronounced dead, and Arthurs died while undergoing treatment.

Police found seven spent casings at the scene.

No motive was stated by the police for the attack.

Investigations are taking place.
