2 KILLED IN SEPARATE ST ANN CRASHES

CAR BURNS AFTER CRASH NEAR PEARLY BEACH

ST ANN’S BAY, St Ann; April 16, 2026

Two men were killed in separate traffic crashes in St Ann, within 48 hours, between Monday and Wednesday, April 13-15, 2026

The first incident was a fiery crash that occurred on Monday, April 13, 2026, about 11:45 p.m. along the St Ann man road, in the vicinity of the entrance to Pearly Beach.

It involved a 2007 Honda Fit motor car, registration 3049 LX.

According to police reports, the Honda Fit was traveling in an easterly direction, toward Ocho Rios, along the St Ann main road. Upon reaching a section of the road in the vicinity of Pearly Beach, the driver was attempting to overtake another vehicle when he lost control of the Honda Fit, which hit the embankment and overturned. The vehicle then caught fire and burned out.

The fire was extinguished by a team from the Ocho Rios Fire Department. The driver was taken to the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

In the other incident, the police are reporting that about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, an unidentified male pedestrian was hit and killed along the Priory main road.

Reports are that the crash involved a grey 2015 BMW X3 motor car. The report made available to the National Road Safety Council did not have details but gave the following as “possible Causes of Collision.”

  • Inattention / diverted attention

Up to the time the North Coast Times posted this report, the pedestrian had not been identified. His age was also unknown.
