MUSIC MAN WENT OUTSIDE AFTER MIDNIGHT TO MAKE CALL
ST ANN’S BAY, St Ann; April 14, 2026
A 33-year-old record company owner was shot and killed at his home in St Ann early Monday morning, April 13, 2026.
Dead is Oshane Rankine of Reggae Close, Hartland Estate, Priory in St Ann.
Reports are that Rankine was at home with his spouse when, about 1:30 a.m., he took up his cell phone and went outside to the front of his house. Shortly after, loud explosions were heard. Checks were made, and Rankine was seen lying on the ground.
The police were contacted, and on their arrival, Rankine was seen lying on his back with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his body.
Police processed the scene and found five 9mm spent casings, one damaged bullet, and two bullet fragments. The cell phone was recovered.
He was taken to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
