Acting head of the Guidance Department Yolanda Ebanks told the North Coast Times that Horace Clarke High School saw this as a way of continuing to build its relationship with the community. Ms Ebanks said care packages distributed this year included food items such as rice, flour, sugar, cornmeal, oil, syrup, and canned goods. Toiletries and hygiene products were also distributed.

Donations also came from Councillor and Dean of discipline Paul Ffyfe; school Chairman, Omar Newell, staff members, and parents.
