Men Carried Out Daylight Robbery Spree at Gaming Lounge and Minimart in Ochi
OCHO RIOS, St Ann; Sept. 23, 2026
The St. Ann Police have charged three men with multiple offences following hold-ups and robberies in the Ocho Rios area on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
Charged are 19-year-old Maleke McLeod, otherwise called ‘Egg Head’, 20-year-old Rockeme Stone, otherwise called ‘Wacky’, and 21-year-old Dominiq Gayle, all of Ocho Rios, St. Ann.
Reports from the police indicate that at about 2: 10 p.m., men travelling in a white Toyota Axio motor car reportedly entered a gaming lounge in Pineapple, Ocho Rios. One of them pointed a firearm at the bartender, and robbed her of cash and an assortment of liquor before escaping in the waiting vehicle.
In a separate incident which occurred at 4:00 p.m., the same day, the white Toyota Axio pulled up at a minimart in Coconut Grove. Two men alighted from the motor car, with one brandishing a handgun. They stole goods from the establishment.
On Tuesday, September 22, the accused men were apprehended and subsequently charged following a question-and-answer session during which they reportedly confessed to the crimes.
They are charged with: robbery with aggravation, conspiracy to commit robbery with aggravation, assault at common law, possession of prohibited weapon, and using a firearm to commit a felony. They were also charged with using a firearm to commit a schedule offense, being part of a criminal organization, and participating in the commission of a serious offence by a criminal organization.
A court date for them is being finalised. -30-
