York Castle past students enjoy themselves raising money for school

On Saturday, July 1, 2017 the grounds of York Castle High school became a festive fun place as past students lead a “Funtastic Day” to raise funds to assist the school’s sport programme.

The past students of the school in Brown’s Town say that from time to time they have been called to assist so past student and radio personality Jennifer ‘Jenny Jenny’ Small who was hosting  last link-up discussed with the past students present doing something big every year to fill the gap. They all accepted the challenge and planned the ‘Funtastic Day”

The York Castle Funtastic Day presented a host of activities for the family: rides, cook –off and netball matches.

The entertainment included  stage show featuring past students Symatic and Ernie Smith as well as Devin di Dakta, Razor B and the Dancin Dynamites. Said past student Jenny Jenny “It will be a yearly event not just because it’s an awesome reunion but it also gives us a chance to give back to our noble institution as we help children in need and keep our school prosperous.”

The group of past students say their intention is to hand over no less than $700,000. They say they are getting support from ‘Yorkist’s’ overseas to push the envelope to $1m or close to it.
