Reports Bad Blood Between Cousins Over Relationship With Man

A woman suspected in the murder of another in St Ann has turned herself in to police.
According to the police, the woman called Apple was arrested on reasonable suspicion of murder when, accompanied by her lawyer, she turned herself in to the Discovery Bay police station on Friday afternoon, Sept. 11, 2026.
She was a suspect in the stabbing death of Javia Brown on Monday, September 7, at Windsor Heights, near St Ann’s Bay.
Police report that about 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 7,  at Windsor Settlement, St. Ann’s Bay, St. Ann, 26-year-old Javia Brown, a waitress of Windsor Heights, St. Ann’s Bay, St. Ann, was stabbed and killed by a suspect also of Windsor Heights, St. Ann’s Bay, St. Ann.
Brown was stabbed in the neck during a dispute with another woman. Brown was transported to the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital, where she was treated and admitted in critical condition. She succumbed to her wounds later that same evening.
Sources say Brown and the suspect were cousins, lived in close proximity, and had a dispute over a man who had come to stay in the community with one of them. There was bad blood between the two women and several sharp exchanges over the relationship with the man. Â Reports to the police are that one of them destroyed pipes belonging to the other as their dispute became more inflamed.
Further information is that following the stabbing, the suspect took up her bag and left the community, with some sources saying they saw her in a taxi. She turned n herself to police on Friday
