Parkinson’s body, with injuries to the head was found in a deserted area of Nine Palm, near Harmony Vale, about eight miles from Claremont in the parish.

Miss Parkison’s death brought to five the number of people killed violently in St Ann since Monday, January 8. Four of the five were murdered.

Reports to the North Coast Times are that the 63-year-old woman, the sister of St Ann hardware operator and businessman Delroy Morgan, was in fact kidnapped from her home Monday.

Allegations were that there was a dispute about her actions in a relationship relating to a family member who was upset with her.

Residents started searching for Ms Parkinson Tuesday..

A group of women said they located the body Wednesday morning. Some of them claimed police had not done enough after the missing person report was filed.

But Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of St Ann, Dwight Powell, said the police started acting on the report on Tuesday when it was made and took a man into custody, based on investigations. He identified the man as a 40-year-old fire fighter, as a prime suspect.
