WOMAN SHOT IN OCHI HOME DIES

Reports are she had been shot before and just returned with family to Ochi
Police are tightlipped over investigations into the execution style shooting death of a woman in Buckfield, Ocho Rios, St Ann.

Dead is 34-year-old Keneisha Souden, business woman.

Mrs Souden was shot within hours of returning to live at a home from which she and family had moved months ago. She was shot in her house September 1 and died Friday September 5, in hospital in Kingston.

Police sources said she had moved away from the area after being shot earlier and after threats were issued against her.

Asked to verify reports received by The Times, about Mrs Souden, assistant superintendent of police Throyville Haughton said: “We don’t have any motive, we are hearing reports but we have nothing on paper. We are asking anyone with information  to come in and speak to us.”

Reports also are that an associate of Mrs Souden is scared by the developments surrounding the slain woman

UNCONSCIOUS

Earlier reports are that she had been shot on her verandah by a man who entered the family home.

However, police tell the North Coast Times that about 8:30 on Monday, September 1, a man with gun in hand entered the home, passed Mrs Souden’s husband and child on their verandah and went inside the house and shot her in the chest twice. The woman collapsed and was rushed to St Ann’s Bay Hospital. From there she was transferred to Kingston Public Hospital in an unconscious state. She succumbed Friday.

Further reports are that the family had just returned to the house in  Buckfield, after months of being away. It was not confirmed that the return marked Mrs Souden’s  wedding anniversary.
