WOMAN BACK WITH HUBBY SHE ALLEGEDLY ATTEMPTED TO KILL

Case likely to be withdrawn against Bamboo woman, lover

A woman charged with conspiracy to kill her common-law-husband may not have to face trial in the case brought on behalf of the man who was hit in the head with an iron pipe and hospitalized. Peter McHugh, the attorney representing the woman and her alleged lover who are before the St Ann’s Bay RM court on the charges of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder has indicated to the North Coast Times that he is of the opinion that the case is heading in the direction where no evidence will be offered against the accused persons. Those charged are: Indira Pasard, 33, of Canaan Road, Bamboo, and 20-year-old cashier, Shawn Scott, of Seville Heights, St Ann. The complainant and man they are alleged to have conspired to murder is Passard’s common-law husband, Dalton Davis a.k.a., Kevin of Canaan Road. The allegations are that on Monday, April 7, Davis was attacked at the house where he lived with Pasard. He was hit in the head with an iron pipe but managed to escape his attacker and ran screaming to the house of a senior police officer. The Times had reported that the police case was that Miss Pasard told Scott that she would leave a door open for him to enter the house and that she would have left the iron pipe at a particular location. This was the weapon to be used to get rid of Davis. Text messages were also said to be sent by Pasard telling Scott when the time was right on the night to take action. Davis came home and w as attacked but was not killed. When the matter was mentioned in court on Thursday, July 3, it was revealed by McHugh that since Pasard has been on bail, she has re-entered a relationship with Davis. On Friday, July 11 McHugh indicated that “the parties are resolving the whole thing.” “I don’t believe the matter will go to a trial…I am of the position that the matter will be withdrawn against both defendants,” McHugh said. The matter was adjourned until Friday, July 18.
