CAR, BUS COLLISION NEAR DOLPHIN COVE
OCHO RIOS, St Ann; June 9, 2026
Two people were killed and one seriously injured following a crash along the Dunn’s River Main Road, near Ocho Rios, on Monday night, June 8, 2026.
Dead are 22-year-old Jamar Jarrett and  25-year-old Tajay Malcolm of Discovery Bay, St Ann.
Police reports are that Jarrett was driving a Blue Suzuki Swift motorcar heading in a westerly direction (toward St Ann’s Bay), with two people on board, when the vehicle failed to keep left and collided with the front section of a Toyota Coaster bus heading in the opposite direction.
The Toyota Coaster continued and collided with the right embankment.
Police said Jarrett and Malcolm succumbed on the scene, and a third person who was in the Suzuki Swift was transported to the St. Ann’s Bay hospital, where he was admitted in a serious condition. The driver of the Toyota Coaster was transported to the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital for treatment.
Motorists told the North Coast Times that delays caused by the crash lasted up to an hour on the busy thoroughfare.
