TACKY INFLICT HEAVY DEFEAT ON TITCHFIELD

3 PLAYERS MAKE 100s IN MAMMOTH TACKY TALLY

In one of the most lopsided results of the 2024 schoolboy cricket season, Tacky High hammered Titchfield High beating them by 295 runs on Saturday, February 10.

It was Tacky’s third win in a row, in the Grace Headley Cup competition but none of the others was so comprehensively devastating. Tacky are on top of Zone D with 15 points, the same as Dinthill Technical, but with a better run rate.

Xevourio  Marshall of Titchfield had the only wicket to fall, claiming it for 97.

In reply, Titchfield made 40 all out with Brandon Thompson 16 and Tyrone Thompson 11.

For Tacky top bowlers were: Jevone Wynter, 5 wickets for 12 runs, and Romeo McDonald 4 wickets for 25 runs.

Coach Sheldon Pryce said the team had a dominant performance and met some objectives. He said it was an all-around top performance in batting, bowling, and fielding. Mr Pryce said they wanted batters to make good scores and three of them made hundreds. He said the wicket was good for pace and the bowlers used it well, again meeting another objective.

He congratulated the supporters who were at the match. He says he’s looking forward to the rest of the competition.
