2ND MURDER IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS IN ST MARY

The body of a St Mary taxi operator was found with gunshot wounds near Rosend, southeast St Mary on Monday. Police said his car was stolen and found abandoned.

Dead is 32-year-old Kemoy Findley otherwise called ‘Turbo’ and ‘Walking Bank’, of Main Street, Highgate, St Mary.
The reported murder was the second in St Mary in less than 18 hours, on Monday, February 9, 2026. On Monday morning, a businessman, 59-year-old-Garfield Singh, was slain in his house at Boscobel in the parish. ST MARY BUSINESSMAN MURDERED AT HOME
Findley’s body was found in the vicinity of the Robin’s Bay bus stop, Rosened on Monday evening, February 9.
Police said it was discovered by a passerby who reported it to the Annotto Bay Police station.
According to police, when they arrived on the scene, a man was found lying face down, suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at Annotto Bay Hospital
Reports to the North Coast Times said Findley’s motorcar was stolen and later found abandoned along the Annotto Bay Main Road. Investigations are ongoing.

Only last week, police clamped a 96-hour curfew on the Rosend/Robins Bay and other areas to improve the security situation.
