Police have identified the man killed in a boating accident yesterday at Tower Isle as 35-year-old Richard Hall, fisherman of Spring Valley and Boscobel, St Mary.
Hall’s colleague who was fishing with him at the time has been hospitalized and has not been identified.
Reports are that the two men were doing deep sea diving about 10:30 near Couples Hotel, Tower isle. It is reported that a boat being operated on behalf of the hotel in the area struck the men.
Details are not clear about how the men ended up on shore. However, they were taken to hospital where Hall also called Pepper died.
Acting head of police for St Mary DSP Dwight Powell told The North Coast Times police have taken statements including from the boat crew and the man hospitalized.
