BROTHERS USED STONES, MACHETE TO ATTACK MAN IN FAMILY ROW

The St Mary police have arrested and charged two brothers from Spanish Town who chopped a man all over his body and hit him with several stones at his home in Islington, St Mary.
Charged are 35-year-old Darrando Garnett and 30-year-old Romeion Garnett, both of Crescent district, Spanish Town, St. Catherine. They have been charged with wounding with Intent arising out of the stoning and chopping of a man in Whitehall, Islington, St. Mary, on Friday, January 23.

Reports from the Port Maria Police are that at about 3:00 p.m., the brothers were traveling along the roadway when they saw a man who had allegedly wounded their father in an altercation earlier. They exited the vehicle and hurled stones at the man, hitting him all over his body. The siblings also armed themselves with a machete and inflicted several chop wounds on the man’s upper body.
Following the attack, residents alerted a police team seen in the area. Upon the police’s arrival at the scene, the Garnetts were taken into custody. They were later charged after a question-and-answer session.
A court date is being finalised for them.
