When reggae artiste Richard Gordon, aka Inzpiration, and his team were making plans to stage Reggae in the Hills, the children in their community of Free Hill, St Mary were at the forefront of their minds.
Now, Reggae in the Hills has morphed from a mere birthday celebration for the artiste, into a huge birthday celebration, a children’s treat and stage show, set for Saturday, October 15 at the Free Hill Primary school.
Part proceeds from the event will go towards the Free Hill primary school.
Dozens of children are expected to turn out for the treat which starts at 12 noon.
The event will mark the return of Symatic, the Magnum King of the Dancehall 2017, who has been relatively quiet since he won the crown.
After being crowned Dancehall King, Symatic released several tracks including Acapella Wine featuring Vanzo, Owna Grave, Nah Badmind No Man, Born Bad, and Wanna Love, among others. Inzpiration, who has also released several tracks in recent years, including So High, Work Hard, and Help the Poor, will also perform, along with Sequence, Jah Chyld, Loaded Eagle and several other performers.
