RED TIE AND STILETTOS

Zedoj Luxuria of the Zedoj Events & Weddings brand is embarking on another inspiring venture in the world of entertainment. The Red Tie and Stilettos Initiative is slated to happen at the Moon Palace, Jamaica Grande Resort on Saturday, September 2, 2017 beginning at 6pm.

The ritzy affair promises to be an evening of corporate glamour, excitement, and inspiration. However, the entire event will be a new experience for most persons as well as being the first of its kind to ever be staged in St. Ann!
Why the theme Red Tie and Stilettos for a seemingly ordinary event? Jodianne Murdock, who is CEO and Co-Founded the brand Zedoj with her husband Kenito Murdock, and responsible for the event, has long been toying with the idea of combining class with the ordinary to bring about a dynamic combo. She eventually came up with the idea of associating red shoes for women and red ties for men that signifies business and power that will seek to inspire young aspiring entrepreneurs and working class individuals of all classes: more so those young persons who are made to feel that their small business is beneath par.”When in truth and fact, the very shop owner, the little man with his stall on the side of the road, a barber or hairdresser is an entrepreneur!”, she states. For herself, Mrs. Murdock has always known she wanted to be an entrepreneur, her own boss. She started her own business at the age of 16 years old, doing graphic designs. So it comes with no surprise that she would want to share her experiences and achievements with other young aspiring individuals. So for her, she says, ‘red is a symbol of strength, blood, tears, and heart and pairing that with a tie on any man indicates power, control, and ambition while a woman in heels means being stylish, sophisticated, confident, and professional. Marrying the two creates an air of being successful. Hence, Red Tie and Stilettos.
Through her partnership with various organizations, media houses, and private bodies, Jodianne has created an affordable, elaborate, and entertaining line up which promises a unique experience for everyone. Attendees are invited to dress as the theme suggests, with the males sporting red ties and the females in red stilettos. The affair will be hosted by Debbie Bissoon along with key note speaker, Donovan Watkis and begins with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 6pm provided by the resort and followed by a symposium whereby individuals will be able to interact with a group of panelists, both males and females who will share their success stories, answer questions as well as providing useful tips on how to survive being a young and successful entrepreneur. A fashion show will follow and entertainment will be provided by star entertainer, the Agent Sasco. DJ Ashile of the Irie FM radio station will end the program with an after party session. Patrons are asked to be on time so as not to miss out on any of the show’s line up. The party will also play host to the give away of $80,000 to the winner of the current ‘Who’s the Boss’ competition. One lucky student from the HEART NTA’s Hospitality and Tourism program will also be awarded full scholarship to assist in their studies.
Everyone is invited to attend and be a part of the beginning of an amazing experience. ‘I can tell you it will be money well spent, an investment if I may dare say and a great experience!’, Jodianne promises. The food will be great, the fashion show will be stylish and just the whole initiative will be awesome’, she says excitedly. ‘And bring a friend to ‘Be the Boss of Tomorrow’.
