RE-OPENING: Sandals Ocho Rios

RE-OPENING: Sandals Ocho Rios Beach Resort held their official opening of the newly refurbished and rebranded property last week Monday evening, June 1 by putting on a lavish reception and after party for hundreds of hotel guests, dignitaries and members of the tourism industry and local community. Special guest speaker was Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller who was received at the property by Sandals Chairman Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart. During the brief ceremony, the heavens opened but that did not prevent the Prime Minister from thanking sandals for their heavy investment and high quality of service. Mr Stewart also thanked his team, and had special words for former GM Brian Roper and for the staff he said was exceptional. The new general manager is Romel Robrino.
