OCHI HIGH WIN AGAIN, BEATING GREEN POND

MORE TOP PERFORMANCES IN 4TH STRAIGHT WIN

Ocho Rios High School won their fourth Grace Headley Cup cricket match in a row when they beat Green Pond High School on Friday, February 9.

The match was played at Content Gardens, Ocho Rios, St Ann.

Ocho Rios High won the toss and put in Green Pond of St James.

Green Pond made 93 all out, with the top scorers being Kemar Parker 28 and Orvel  Miller 15.

Reando Kelly top all-around performance

Bowling for Ocho Rios, Reando Kelly took 7 wickets for 17 runs, continuing his good form this season. Deshaun Gayle took 2 for 14 and Jadeek Walker one wicket for 3 runs.

 

Ocho Rios High School in reply made 94 for three with Kelly putting in another good all-around performance, making 37 not out. Jonathan Smith, 15 not out, was with him when they closed the innings.

Bowling for Green Pond High School Antwun Findlater, Raheem Fisher and Justin Martin took one wicket each.

Coach for Ocho Rios High, Damion Wolliston told North Coast Times: “Our success in winning four consecutive matches can be attributed to the remarkable dedication and discipline of our players.
