 Man Attacked, Shot Multiple Times In Centre of Town
HIGHGATE, St Mary; July 3, 2026
A man was shot dead in the town of Highgate, St Mary, on Thursday night, July 2, 2026.
Dead is Tarrick Needham, a 31-year-old labourer of Cromwell Land, Highgate.
He was shot and killed by a man near the clock in Highgate. Police have released no motive for the attack and murder.
According to reports, at about 7:35 p.m. Thursday, Needham, was standing on a piazza in the vicinity of the clock when he was approached by a gunman dressed in dark clothing. Armed with a handgun, the man proceeded to open fire at Needham, hitting him in the upper body. The gunman then fled the scene on foot and made good his escape into a nearby housing scheme.
Needham was transported to the Port Maria Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
