New Salaries announced
Higher salaries have been announced for Parliamentarians, including the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers, Ministers of State and Opposition Leader, among others, under the Government’s Compensation Plan.
Increased salaries are paid to these Government executives and lawmakers under the new Compensation Packages from which other Government workers including teachers, nurses, and police personnel benefitted, recently.
Salaries for MPs have been adjusted to $11.1 Million as of April 1, 2022, $12.5 Million as of April 1, 2023 and $14.2 Million as of April 1, 2024.
The Prime Minister’s Salary is $25.3 Million as of April 1 this year.
