St Ann Primary School Cricket Competition Starts

 

GIBRALTAR, MADRAS AND MT MORIAH WIN

The St Ann Primary Schools cricket competition got off to a good start on Tuesday, May 16 with Gibraltar, Madras and Mt Moriah primary schools among the winners on the day.

The competition, sponsored by  Odyssey Cable Vision is being played in three zones.

Altogether 16 teams have entered the competition. Here is a summary of the matches played on Tuesday.

 

Gibraltar Primary beat Linton Primary by seven wickets. Linton batted first and made 90 all out in 13 overs. Gibraltar overtook that score at 91 for 3, Juvan Campbell made 22 for Gibraltar and Javain Clayton and Steve Hunter each took three wickets for the winners.

Madras Primary beat Watt Town Primary by nine wickets. Watt Town batting first scored 64 all out, with Romario Wickham getting 30 against Alvaro Gibbs 4 for four.

Madras scored 66 for one with Delroy Hall and Romario Reynolds unbeaten on 19 and 18 respectively.

Mt Moriah Primary whipped Clarksonville Primary by 88 runs. Batting first, Mr Moriah made 101  with C Reid top scoring with 20. Clarksonville was skittled out for 13 runs.  J Lodge with 3 wickets for  4 runs and T Allen with four wickets for 5 runs did most of the damage for Mt Moriah.

Three matches are scheduled for Wednesday.
