GOLDEN GROVE, St Ann; April 20, 2026

Member of Parliament for South East St Ann, Dr Kenneth Russell has called for a “full and transparent account” of the circumstances that led to two men being shot dead by the police in Steerfield, in his constituency.

The brothers, Romero and Davian Henry, were killed during an operation by the Fugitive Apprehension team from Area 5 (outside of the parish) about 5:30 Monday morning, April 20, 2026.

.

He said he was “deeply saddened and concerned” and said the matter must be investigated thoroughly for the facts to be established and accountability should follow.

The area residents blocked the road, preventing the police vehicles from leaving with the bodies of the two men. However, the roadway was cleared after angry words were exchanged between the police and the residents

In a video taken at the scene before the police left, people were seen walking up to the police demanding answers and to be allowed into the house where the brothers were shot dead.

INDECOM and police teams went to the scene early for investigations.
