UNIDENTIFIED MAN, BELIEVED TO BE OF UNSOUND MIND, KILLED ON HEYWOOD HALL ROAD

An unidentified man was hit and killed on the Heywood Hall Main Road, St Mary, by a motor vehicle that did not stop.
The St. Mary Police, who are investigating, say the collision that claimed the life of an unidentified male pedestrian along the Heywood Hall Main Road, in the vicinity of the Hampstead entrance, occurred on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m.
This is the fourth person to have been killed on the roads of St Mary in the past two weeks.
According to the police, preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased, who is believed to have been of unsound mind, was walking along the roadway when he was struck by an unknown motor vehicle. The driver reportedly failed to stop and left the injured man on the roadway.
The slain man was dressed in a light blue T-shirt and dark-coloured shorts.
The injured man was transported to the Port Maria Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
