MAN ATTACKS, KILLS GUNMAN WHO SHOT HIS FRIEND IN ST ANN

A gunman who attacked and murdered a man in St Ann, was himself shot and killed by his victim’s friend.
The gunman who was shot and killed with his own gun has not been identified.
The other man slain has been identified as 46-year-old Daniel Whorms, otherwise called ‘Shaggy ’, contractor of Lillyfield district, in the parish.
Reports are that about 2 a.m. on Sunday, October 15, Whorms and two other persons were walking from a dance when they were attacked by a man. Whorms was shot at least three times in the head.
One of the men walking with Whorms tackled the gunman and, in a tussle, disarmed him of the gun. During the tussle, the gunman was reportedly shot in the eye.
He and Whorms were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The North Coast Times was told that a Glock pistol containing eleven rounds of ammunition was seized from the scene.
