An argument between two men at a food stall about who should be served first has resulted in one of the men being charged with wounding the other.
The prosecution alleged that the man returned with a group of men and inflicted wounds to the other man.
The case appeared before the St Ann Parish Court on Friday, September 30.
Andre Rose was the man charged for wounding a man at a food stall in St Ann’s Bay, St Ann.
Allegations are that on September 9 at 4:05 p.m., the complainant was at a food stall in front of the St Ann’s Bay Parish Library when the accused, Andre Rose came and shouted out that he wanted “service.”
The complainant explained to Rose that he was in the line first. However, the two got into an argument and both exchanged expletives.
Rose left and later came back with some men and the complainant was beaten.
“Is the file complete?” Enquired senior parish judge Andrea Thomas of the crown prosecutor.
The crown prosecutor explained that the file was incomplete as the identification parade statements and a medical certificate were not on file.
Rose was later offered bail in the sum of $200,000 with three sureties. He is to report to the St Ann’s Bay police station on Wednesdays between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
He is also not to interfere with the complainant as a condition of his bail.
The case will again be mentioned on November 3.
