Police have extended the Curfew in the Annotto Bay area by 48-hours, to stay in effect until Saturday evening, May 30, 2026.

The extension took effect at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2026, and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2026.

According to the police,  the decision to extend the curfew follows ongoing assessments and intelligence “which indicate the need for continued intervention to ensure stability and to support intensified policing efforts aimed at disrupting criminal activities, recovering illegal firearms and contraband, and restoring a sense of safety within the affected communities.”

The police say the extension forms part of continued operational activities being undertaken by the St. Mary Police to maintain public order, prevent criminal activities, suppress potential reprisals, and preserve the peace within the Annotto Bay policing area.

During the hours of the curfew, all persons within the prescribed boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the Ground Commander.
