Cops concerned after crowds threaten people over death of 14-y-o

After tense situation near a home of people accused of involvement in the death of 14-year old Raven Wilson in St Ann’s Bay yesterday, Tuesday, police are keeping a close watch on the area. They are appealing for people to allow the investigations to take place.

Police are also insisting that there is no information to connect anyone at this time with the death of the Ocho Rios High School girl whose body was found in bushes about five minutes walk from her home, at Top Road, St Ann’s Bay, St Ann Sunday morning.

Reports to the North Coast Times are that police had to intervene after rumours and reports swept the Top Road area and people linked a family with the death of Raven Wilson. Dozens of people surrounded the home of the accused family making threats.

Police sources said they were concerned that the anger being expressed by some of the people could have turned violent. Police insisted to the North Coast Times that there is no evidence so far linking anyone to the crime.

Police took four members of the family to the station in St Ann’s Bay

For questioning and again crowds converged there, making accusations.

Two of those being questioned were taken to another station but police are insisting that they have not arrested or taken into custody anyone for the murder.

Meanwhile the dead girl’s school bag was found near where her body was discovered wrapped in garbage bags.
