ST ANN FARMER WAS FOUND CHOPPED TO DEATH
A twenty-six-year-old man has been charged with the murder of his 45-year-old uncle, in St Ann.
Charged with murder is Nicholas Thompson, otherwise ‘Gabba’, a farmer of McNie, St Ann.
Dead is 45-year-old Tyrone Brown, otherwise called ‘Paul’ a farmer of Cowley district, also in the parish.
Police reports are that at about 6:30 a.m., on Tuesday, March 26, Thompson visited his uncle on his farm in Cowley district. Police said Thompson used a machete to chop Brown several times. The police
were alerted and, on their arrival, Brown was seen with multiple chop wounds.
He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An earlier police report was that residents stumbled on the body of Mr Brown. Police did not give a motive for the murder.
An investigation was carried out and Thompson was arrested; he was charged after he underwent a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court date has not been finalized.
