3 others on JUTC bus with him in Walkerswood arrested
WALKERSWOOD, St Ann; July 5, 2026
St Ann Police have arrested a bus driver and three people who were with him in the vehicle at the time for illegal possession of a gun and ammunition.
Police report that on Saturday evening, July 4, 2026, the police received information that a man was seen with a firearm in the vicinity of JUTC bus that was parked along the Walkerswood Main Road, St Ann.
About 9:30 p.m., when police approached the bus, a man seated in the driver’s seat was reportedly seen by the police with a firearm in his hand. The man allegedly threw the weapon outside the bus.

The firearm was retrieved by the Police and found to be a Sig Sauer P365, which contained a magazine with one (1) live 9mm round.
The driver was arrested.
Three other persons who were also found inside the bus were arrested. The three are from different districts: Discovery Bay, Walkerswood and Great Pond, Ocho Rios, all in St Ann.

It is not clear what the bus was doing parked in Walkerswood where the driver who has been charged lives.
