Bahia Principe Jamaica Resorts, Runaway Bay, St Ann carried out a Work Day at the Runaway Bay Police Station on Thursday, March 17, 2016. The project included interior and exterior painting, electrical work, plumbing, floor stripping and buffing in addition to the donation of a new four-burner stove to station’s kitchen.
The Runaway Bay Police Station Work Day was executed through partnerships with the hotel and its contractors – Therrestra Construction and WICAN Supplies. Chief of security, Dalton Davidson called the undertaking “an opportunity to pay our respect for the unwavering support from the officers at the station”.
Social relations manager, Farrah Blake also described the Work Day as “part of the hotel’s mission to assist in the development of the community within which we operate”. She went on to say that the Runaway Bay Police play a very important role in this community.
Grand Bahia Principe, Jamaica was opened in 2007 by the Spanish investors Grupo Pinero. The hotel has recently been expanded to accommodate its luxury hotel, and renamed Bahia Principe Jamaica Resorts. The five-star all-inclusive hotel boasts over 1,400 rooms divided into two smaller brands to accommodate its Luxury (Adults Only) and Grand (Family) components.
