EX-COP KILLED IN RUNAWAY BAY, GUN TAKEN
Police are seeking two men who shot and killed a security guard in Salem, Runaway Bay, St Ann Friday evening, March 15.
Dead is 39-year-old Kenyouth Dawkins of Bamboo, St Ann.
Dawkins is the second security guard shot this week while on duty in St Ann. His death follows the murder of 51-year-old Harold Bailey, of Kingston, at a Cambio in Ocho Rios, Monday, March 11, reported on earlier by the North Coast Times.
Dawkins is an ex-policeman who has his own business and has been offering his services as a security guard.

Police reports are that shortly before 10 p.m. Friday, Dawkins was on duty at the Royal Sports Bar on a plaza in Salem/Runaway Bay. Reports are that the staff was closing up for the night.
Two masked men walked up and went straight to Dawkins. They opened fire on him. He was hit several times in the upper body.
The men took his firearm and fled on foot in the area.
Police say no attempt was made to rob the establishment.
Dawkins leaves a wife and four children.
The St Ann Police told the North Coast Times that they are following leads in the Ocho Rios murder. They are asking anyone with information in either or both of the two cases to contact them.
