Cops release man as they continue to hunt murderer of Brown’s Town girl
Police hit another dead end last week in the murder investigations into the year-end murder of 16-year-old Brown’s Town High School student. Tashiek Nugent.
Reports to the North Coast Times are that following investigations, the Brown’s Town police took in a man they believe had information that could assist them with the cases. Sources said the police had good information that would lead to an arrest. However, after police conducted interviews they did not have enough to charge him and released.
Police have said they need people to provide information that could help them crack the case. They have promised to continue working the case and all the angles to try to bring a closure to the case.
Nugent’s body was found in Addison Park, Brown’s Town, and December 31 last year. After a dispute with her mother, Tashiek had left her parents’ home Christmas Eve for Grand Market in Brown’s Town and had reportedly been staying with friends and relatives for the next week.
Tashiek was last seen in Brown’s Town New Year’s Eve and there were reports that she was going to stay with a brother. However, she did not make it there. Her body was found in Addison Park and it was said she had been strangled.
The North Coast Times has been following the story and was told several times that people saw her leave the bus park with an adult male friend that New Year’s Eve, Tuesday December 31.
