NWA Project Covers Major Roads
Significant road repairs, including filling out some long existing potholes, is taking place around the resort Town of Ocho Rios, St Ann.
The patching has been taking place since this week and complements a full overlay of Main Street, from the Pineapple Craft Market to the clock. That project is halfway done.
On Thursday, August 17, workmen with small equipment began repairs and patching on the Ocho Rios By Pass.
Councillor for Ocho Rios, Michael Belnavis told the North Coast Times that the patching is to continue on DaCosta Drive, Newlin Street and Evelyn Street. These are all roads under the responsibility of the National Works Agency
He said the Municipal Corporation is providing some oversight. Councillor Belnavis said cleaning of the main drains through Ocho Rios has already been done, in preparation for the current hurricane season.
