MAN KILLED IN 4-VEHICLE COLLISION IN ST ANN

 

Queen’s Highway Claims Another Life

A four-vehicle crash that saw a Toyota Corolla cut in two resulted in the death of one man on the Queens Highway Discover Bay, St Ann, Thursday afternoon, July 27.

Dead is thirty-two-year-old Donovan Thomas, a security guard of Middle Buxton, St. Ann.

Reports from the Discovery Bay Police are that at about 6:00 p.m., Thomas was driving a Toyota Corolla motor car, westerly towards Trelawny, when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle. It collided with three other vehicles – a Mitsubishi Pajero, a Toyota Coaster and a Honda Civic. The Pajero ended up on its side, the Coaster ran off the roadway and the Civic was also badly damaged.

Thomas received multiple injuries and was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said no one else received serious injuries. Investigations continue.

The Queen’s Highway, the stretch between the UWI Marine Lab, Discovery Bay and the border with Trelawny is one of the deadliest sections of the North Coast Highway in St Ann
