They Left To Visit Kingston Relatives

Police say the St Ann woman and her three children who went missing Thursday, June 29 have returned home.

The Constabulary Communications Unit (CCU) had issued a release Tuesday, July 4, saying 31-year-old Gena Richards from Keith District, and her three children had left for Duhaney Park, St Andrew but had not been heard from or seen.

According to a Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) release issued Tuesday, July 4, reports from the Duhaney Park Police are that Miss Richards and her children were slated to visit a relative in Kingston on Thursday, June 29. She was last spoken to via telephone about 9:00 a.m. that day and has not been seen since.Since the Times published the report, several readers on Facebook have commented that Ms Richards and the children had returned home. However, we checked on three different occasions with Duhaney Park Police and CCU and they were unable to confirm the reports of her return.

In a release Tuesday, July 11, the CCU said: “Thirty-year-old Gena Richards and her three children — 12-year-old Jameica Gordon, 6-year-old Cherish Taylor and one-year-old Garcia Thompson — who were reported missing since Thursday, June 29 have returned home. They are said to be in good health.

The report did not say when they returned home.
