WELL-KNOWN ATTORNEY DIES AT HOME AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Well-known St Ann attorney, Jennifer Hobson Hector is dead.
Mrs Hector, 73, died at her home in Salem/Runaway Bay, St Ann Tuesday morning, March 21,
Mrs Hector had been ailing for some time.
At the height of her professional practice she operated two offices — one in Ocho Rios and the other in Brown’s Town, her hometown.
Her practice was mainly in civil law, focussed on conveyancing.
Mrs Hector was a member of the Soroptimist Club of Northern St Ann for more than 40 years and served as its President. She was also President of the National Association of Soroptimist and counsellor for the National Association to Soroptimist international. Mrs Hector was also a member of the Boards at York Castle High and St Hilda’s Diocesan High.
She was also a devout Methodist and an active member of the Hoolebury Methodist Church.
She leaves to mourn daughter Stephanie, sister Valerie Robinson, and other relatives and friends.
