Staff at Bahia Principe mourn traffic deaths

The staff at the Bahia Principe Hotel, Runaway Bay St Ann are again mourning following recent traffic crashes. The latest was a reported hit and run Monday morning, Feb 20, in which a supervisor was killed.

Up to late this afternoon, the Corporate Communications Network CCN said it did not have any details of the incident and was waiting on the report from police who visited the scene.

The reported Monday crash comes following the death of twenty-five-year-old Omaine Brown, a chef of Santa Maria Drive, Hopewell district in St. Ann, Saturday. Brown died as a result of injuries he sustained from an accident on the Runaway Bay main road in the parish on Saturday, February 18.

Reports from the Runaway Bay Police are that about 6:35 p.m., the driver of a motorcar was travelling in an easterly direction when he lost control of his vehicle and it collided with a utility pole. He was taken to the hospital where he later succumbed.

These are among the latest incidents involving traffic and other accidents involving staff at that hotel.
