Violent Attack Leaves One Brother in Hospital, Other Dead
CAVE VALLEY, St Ann; November 5, 2026
A St Ann man who allegedly attacked and chopped his brother with a machete is dead, and the brother is hospitalized.
Dead is 55-year-old Gladston Hughes, of Frank Hall district, Cascade, near Cave Valley, St Ann.
According to reports reaching the North Coast Times, about 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, Gladston Hughes forcefully entered his brother’s house in the district near the St Ann/Clarendon border and chopped him multiple times.
His brother armed himself with a knife and retaliated, inflicting stab wounds.
Hughes was pronounced dead at Percy Junor Hospital in neighbouring Clarendon while his brother has been admitted.
