Police On Heels Of Men Who Murdered Steer Town Youth

Police say they are on the heels of suspects who murdered a man in Steer Town, St Ann, Tuesday, February 7.

Senior Superintendent of Police Dwight Powell told the St Ann Municipal Corporation (SAMC) that police will soon issue information on persons of interest who must report to the police in this crime.

Reports are that gunmen went to the home of laborer, 20-year-old Kimanie Lettman in the community near St Ann’s Bay, about 2 a.m. Tuesday. They kicked down the door to the house and a relative of the young man confronted them.

Lettman ran and sought to escape from a section of the house at the back but was cornered by one of the gunmen and shot and killed.

SSP Powell said the police have information they will soon make public.
