Last week Thursday there were two traditional events that are associated with Christmas, held in St Mary. We have pictures from JIS of the traditional tree lighting ceremony that took place on Thursday, December 15 at Claude Stuart Park, in Port Maria. Also on that day, in the parish capital, there was a Christmas Luncheon held at the St Mary Infirmary. Special guests at the two events included Minister of Local Government, Desmond McKenzie, MP for West St Mary and Mayor or Port Maria Richard Creary.
