Almost double the number of people killed on the roads up to this time last year have perished in crashes so far this year.
According to head of police in St Ann, Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell, so far this year 32 fatal crashes have resulted in 40 deaths. For the same period last year, to October 9, there were 21 traffic crashes resulting in 23 deaths.
