A woman, who attempted to cross the roadway in White River on the St Ann/St Mary border, was hit by a motor vehicle and killed on Saturday night, February 25.
Dead is 59-year-old Evene Walker of Hyatt’s Field, St. Ann.
The police information arm, the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) in a release stated that: “Reports from the Ocho Rios Police are that about 9:55 p.m., Walker was attempting to cross the roadway when she was hit by a Toyota Corolla Station Wagon. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.”
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
